Synopsis

Carl and his wife Trish are planning a trip to Hawaii and ask Steve, a former pupil of Carl’s, if he could take care of their dog. Steve agrees without hesitation, thinking it will be a good opportunity to reestablish a relationship with Carl who, three months earlier, told him he must leave his class and not come back until he was committed to becoming the best writer he could be; that and he needs the money. But just when Steve is settling in Carl and Trish return that same evening with a very bad story to tell which only Steve can help bring to a hopeful conclusion.
